The Professional Alternative Learning Festival – A smashing success!

What a day! The Professional Alternative Learning Festival on 20 February was an absolute hit (if we do say so ourselves).

The event brought together legal and accountancy pros for a packed schedule of learning, networking, and several cups of tea and coffee along the way.

With a seamless virtual setup, the day was structured into multiple sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of professional development, where attendees could dip in and out, choosing which ones to join based on their interests and availability.

From revamping learning and development to dissecting real-life AML crime stories to rediscovering the passion for your work, we delivered insights that kept people engaged (and not nodding off in the corner).

A highlight? Industry experts Daniel Pearce (Senior Learning and Development Consultant at Pinsent Masons), James Chadburn (Managing Partner at Dean Wilson), and Sarah Stevens (Head of HR at Dean Wilson) ignited positive discussions on making learning a workplace staple.

Meanwhile, Jacqui Falvey’s (Director of Accomplish HR) session on mentoring left us wondering why we haven’t all got a professional mentor on speed dial.

Paul Richmond (Managing Director theGrogroup) and Jacqui Falvey tackled the latest HR challenges, while Alex Bond Burnett (Engagement & Behaviour Strategist) got everyone thinking about redefining their professional influence through effective communication and leadership.

The day wrapped up with our very own Claire Johnson and Jack Constant revealing their key takeaways, practical tips, and plenty of inspiration on continues professional development to take back and apply to the day job.

The overwhelmingly positive feedback confirms that The Professional Alternative Learning Festival has set a new standard for professional development in the legal and accountancy sectors.

Did you miss out, or want to experience it all over again?

Don’t worry – with demand high for future events, we’re already hatching plans for the next one.

So, stay tuned – in the meantime, keep learning and keep growing.
